Bacon and Mushroom Breakfast Scones with a Perfectly Poached Egg

image1231244

We all love breakfast right?

Think of this as the ultimate breakfast bite.

I’m a massive fan of one bite that plays with all your senses and attacks your flavour receptors with full force. Something sweet, something tart and a little oomph.

This is the perfect breakfast for days when you just want to feel good, happy and content.

Love food for what it is and what it does to you.

“Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.” – Voltaire

I love this! I love breakfast and scones! Will try to make this one soon for my family. If I substitute the whole milk to soymilk will it make a big difference on the scones? Some of us in the family are lactose intolerant.

      Hi Erwan,

I’ve never seen this kind of Scones recipe.I think this is the perfect breakfast like what you said “when you just want to feel good” I want to feel good that’s why I need to try your Bacon and Mushroom Breakfast Scones with a Perfectly Poached Egg.

Questions: Will it make a big difference on the scones? If I don’t have mushroom like what you used, then I will use mushroom in can?

Thank you so much Erwan for sharing this recipe and I hope I can try these! And I can share it to my friends.

      Thanks a lot!

about THE FAT KID

I gained weight because of a sedentary lifestyle and overly indulging in foods I knew were bad for me, eating out too often, taking the easy route (microwavable dishes) and not caring what went in my body, before I knew it reached 240 lbs. I lost weight through pure dedication, tireless hours of hard work and yes, food. I cooked my way to fitness, making sure to only feed myself tasty well prepared dishes with all the right stuff, the perfect fuel, taking me down to 150lbs. Of course I indulge from time to time, as the fat kid still lurks inside of me; here you will find a little bit of everything for the sole purpose of sharing my passion for food and life.
