Broccoli, Mushroom, Pine Nut Egg wrap with Pork Tenderloin
This week we are talking about How Tos/ Kitchen Essentials/ Life Cheats to try and make you a better home cook or all around food enthusiast. As you go through all our articles on The Fat Kid Inside this week, you will realise that we have one prevalent piece of advice for you: Don’t take yourself too seriously.
For example, I purposefully made a hole in this omelette wrap dish, in the video below (of course it was on purpose). Ok fine, it was obviously a mistake, my pan was a little too large, so the eggs were stretched out too much and I didn’t use the non-stick pan I should of. In any case, I still wanted to post it to show you that when you are cooking at home, you are not cooking for instagram or a recipe book; you are making food to feed your soul and sometimes our souls love the strangest of things. So I covered up the tears in my egg with a perfectly cooked piece of pork tenderloin, drizzled it with some Waitrose Brown Sauce from Rustans (in my opinion tastier than ketchup) and the dish turned out to be sublime, earthy with hints of umami, full of health and looking like a survivor.
So, don’t be afraid of the kitchen, you’ll get the hang of it someday.
