Erwan and Solenn’s Pancake Recipes
Everyone has their own way of making pancakes. These are the pancake recipes Solenn and I used for the latest episode of the Sibling Cook-Off, where we battle it out to see who makes the best pancakes!

Erwan’s Buttermilk Pancake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar) and mix until well incorporated.
- Add in milk, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Add salt to taste, add butter and continue to mix until most lumps are gone. Do not overmix. Consistency should be thick but still runny.
- Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
- Grease a pan with butter over high heat. Once butter is melted, reduce to low heat.
- Ladle in batter into the pan and cook until bubbles start to form. Flip and cook until pancake is fluffy.
- Plate and drizzle over syrup. Enjoy!
Solenn’s Pancake Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Combine wet ingredients (milk, sour cream, butter, vanilla extract, egg) and mix until well incorporated.
- In a separated bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Grease a pan with butter over high heat. Once butter is melted, reduce to low heat.
- Ladle in batter into the pan and cook until bubbles start to form. Flip and continue to cook for a minute.
- Plate and drizzle over syrup. Enjoy!
