Happy New Year!

So what resolutions have you made?

Every year we make a ton but usually end up keeping none.

Let me help you out with a really simple solution. We all know what eating clean is. It’s basically eating what your body needs to function and to supply it for it’s level of activity. This year i will be eating lots of good proteins, re introducing complex grains into my diet on my heavy lifting and workout days and trying to eat more vegetables and fruit.

The clean meals i make, are usually really quick, i stir fry a bunch of good for you vegetables with a little olive oil and salt, and sear off about 200grams of protein and finish up with some fruit. I’ll snack on some nuts and some limited fairy (usually just greek yogurt), drink lots of water and stay away from anything with added sugar or too much sodium. All natural of course. Try this and you will be on your way.

Plain proteins can be boring for some people and dry rubs or spice mixes are a great way to up the flavour in your dishes. Here is a great example of that. Forgive the sweat, it was really hot when we shot this

Spice Mix, Dry Rub:

Fennel Seeds, All spice, ground cumin, ground mustard seeds, ground cloves, dried rosemary, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, white pepper.

For the chicken thighs, i just added some greek yogurt and some lemon juice, to give off a great middle eastern/turkish style.
