I’ve always been a fat kid. In fact, I’ve always been one of the biggest among my classmates and family but that never stopped me from eating. I even considered it as one of my hobbies. I continued with my eating habits even in College. Although there was this one time before graduation when we were having our graduation uniforms measured, I was told my waist line was at 38 inches. It was so embarrassing and depressing at the same time but that didn’t hamper my eating habits.

But after college, while I was buying clothes and none of them fit me, I decided to get my life together and get into shape. After college seemed to be the perfect time to do it.

So I started by changing my diet. I lessened my rice intake and managed to stopped eating rice for 3 months. I mostly ate salads and fruits and found healthier substitutes for rice. After fixing my diet, I played lawn tennis and started doing more cardio through cycling.

Currently, I am 5’10 and from 190 lbs, I went down to 155 and aiming for 150. And it all started with a decision to change my life and sticking with it.

Weight Loss Tips 

1. Be consistent – just like in a relationship, you have to be committed to the routine.

2. Eat in moderation – portion control is key. ‘

3. Exercise – you don’t need to get into extreme sports just to lose weight. Just make sure you sweat for at least an hour or 2 everyday.

4. Drink more water – the rule we’ve been taught is to drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Always keep yourself hydrated!

5. DONT BE IN A RUSH – its a long term process bro, Be patient and stay motivated!

6. Eat more GREENS – substitute a meal for a salad. Dinner is best.

7. Stay motivated – it’s not enough to lose simple a pound or two; do more and achieve more!

8. Have a cheat meal – don’t deprive yourself but be sure to sweat it out the next day!

9. Believe in yourself – always bear in mind that there are a lot who are bigger than you that can pull it off.
