Bread pudding is a great way to bring back life to day-old bread. Spice things up by using old raisin bread and adding your favorite toppings like Nutella or peanut butter!

A few months ago, when my sister was in town for her summer holiday, we went up to Baguio for a nice weekend escape. It was a nice and short trip but it was great to recharge and be around the pine trees.
Before heading home we always make a point to buy goods typically from there such as peanut brittle, ube jam, veggies from the local market, and of course Raisin Bread. I have this tendency to buy a bit too much for just my husband and I, that there’s at least one loaf that ends up being forgotten in my refrigerator. I didn’t want to throw away this perfectly good loaf but it was just a bit too hard to enjoy for breakfast. Bread Pudding is a classic recipe that brings new life to your old bread. It is also very versatile from the bread choice to the toppings and to the custard filling.
I usually have raisin bread toasts with peanut butter or Nutella for breakfast and thought that it would be perfect to add to my bread pudding. I made two baking pans with this recipe one with peanut butter and the other with Nutella. If you enjoy PB&Js, you can mix jelly into the PB Pudding.
