We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Despite this, a lot of us skip it altogether because there’s “no time to prepare breakfast in the morning,” or “too busy to eat breakfast,” blah blah and all such other excuses.

But eating breakfast in the morning can reduce hunger throughout the day. In fact, many studies suggest that breakfast eaters actually weigh less than their breakfast skipper counterparts. So try not to miss it. If you’re running late, take your breakfast with you and have deskfast instead. Just make sure your breakfast doesn’t come out of a fastfood’s takeout box.

Here’s a breakfast recipe that will make sure you don’t miss breakfast in the morning. Prepare this recipe the night before and you’re sure to wake up early eager to have breakfast (which usually happens to me btw).

INGREDIENTS:

For Oat Mixture:

• 1/3 cup Quaker Rolled Oats
• 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk
• 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
• 1/2 banana, mashed
• 1/2 Tbsp. chia seeds
• 1 tsp. honey
• a pinch of salt
• a pinch of cinnamon

For Quick Variations:

• ½ cup strawberries
• ¼ cup berries, frozen

METHOD:

For Oat Mixture:
• Combine all the ingredients in a jar and leave overnight in a refrigerator.
For a Quick Variation:
• Cook ½ cup of strawberries with a little water to make a quick jam.
• Or puree frozen berries in a blender with Greek yogurt.
• Add in a mix of dried and fresh mangoes
