Video Throwback: My Favorite Quick Dips (Salsa, Hummus, and Guac)

Never buy bottled dips again. Here are three of my favorite dips that are quick and easy to make for a crowd.

Ever wanted to curl up in a ball because people were coming over and you only had that one jar of salsa you opened 2 months ago in your fridge?

Well run to the supermarket and get yourself some ingredients and a food processor (or just workout your forearms) and try these dips out. They are tasty,different, non-traditional and loads of fun.



– 6 medium size tomatoes
– 1 red onion
– 1 red and green chili
– juice of 2 lemons
– dried chili powder to taste
– salt to taste
– mango


Whiz everything together in a food processor and top with more roughly chopped tomatoes. Done!



– 1 charred eggplant, cleaned and chopped
– 2 cups garbanzo beans
– 2 cups white beans
– 2 cups borlotti beans
– 1/3 c EVOO
– 1tsp sesame oil
– salt and paprika to taste
– coriander
– hard-boiled eggs


Whiz the eggplant, beans, sesame oil, EVOO, salt and paprika together in a food processor. Top with roughly chopped hard-boiled eggs and torn up coriander.



– 2 avos
– 2 tsp creme fraiche
– 1/4 cup chopped pepperoncini
– juice of 2 lemons
– feta cheese to taste
– cayenne to taste
– cilantro


Use a stick blender to whiz up everything up. Top with more feta cheese and cayenne. Enjoy!
